SHAC Minutes---5-19-10
The Motley County School Health Advisory Council met at 5:00, May 19th in the school board room. Those attending were Jan Jones, Sabrina Osborn, Judy Cooper, William Cochran, Cynthia Stafford, Debbie Falcon, Rosalee Davis, Bobby Brown, student representatives Leanne Jameson and Braden Mason, and guests Christian Brooks, Lexi Osborn, Jaci Zingerman, and Andrew Stafford. Chairman Jan Jones welcomed everyone and thanked them for taking the time to attend the meeting. She then introduced the program, a presentation on seat belt safety presented by Christian, Lexi, and Jaci. The students did a very good job presenting an important program on wearing seatbelts. They will compete at the State 4-H roundup this summer with their presentation. Judy Cooper then gave a brief update on the Fitnessgram test that is administered to all 3rd—12th graders. Parents will get the results of their child’s test in early June. There was no new business, so Cynthia Stafford moved to adjourn. It was seconded and all being in favor the meeting was adjourned.
