The Motley County Board of Trustees met on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 7:30pm in a regular scheduled board meeting. All board members were present except Lewis Drum and Lee Jones. Also present were Dr. Andrew Seigrist, William Cochran, and Denise Ford.

ITEMS FOR BOARD ACTION
A. Motion by Tina Brooks, seconded by JD Russell to approve May 1, 2010 and May 17, 2010 minutes. Motion carried 5/0.
B. David Stafford, President, nomination by Gilbert Guerrero, seconded by JD Russell. Don Baxter, Vice-President, nomination by Gilbert Guerrero seconded by David Stafford. Tina Brooks, Secretary, nomination by Gilbert Guerrero, seconded by Don Baxter. Elected as is by acclamation. Motion carried 5/0.
C. Motion by Don Baxter, seconded by JD Russell to approve contract with Regional Day School for the Deaf. Motion carried 5/0.
D. Motion by JD Russell, seconded by Tina Brooks to approve the list of expenditures. Motion carried 5/0.
E. Motion by Don Baxter, seconded y Gilbert Guerrero to approve student transfer requests for the 2010-2011. Motion carried 5/0.
F. Motion by Tina Brooks, seconded by Gilbert Guerrero to table the replacement of toilets in the elementary bathrooms. Motion carried 5/0.
G. Motion by Gilbert Guerrero, seconded by JD Russell to approve the Chemical Hygiene Plan. Motion carried 5/0.
H. Motion by Tina Brooks, seconded by Don Baxter to approve the request waiver for instruction days. See attached. Motion carried 5/0.
Principal’s report, Mr. Cochran reported attendance was 177 with a 97.06% attendance rate.
During the Superintendent’s report, Dr. Seigrist reported on his recent trip to Austin to attend TREA conference. All night party was discussed.

A. Motion by Don Baxter, seconded by JD Russell to accept the resignation of Mrs. Yolanda Kautz. Motion carried 5/0.
B. Motion by Don Baxter, seconded by Gilbert Guerrero to approve Jessica Ballard for a probationary contract for school year 2010-2011 as the new elementary teacher. Motion carried 5/0.
