Seniors receiving scholarships through the James and Oneita Titus Educational Foundation were honored with a luncheon at the Hotel Matador on Tuesday, May 07, 2013. Also in attendance were the Foundation board members Marisu Potts, Pat Smith, Corky Marshall, David Stafford and school administrators William Cochran and Gary Waitman.
The Titus Education Foundation was established several years ago by James and Oneita Titus of Colleyville. Mr. Titus grew up in the Barton community and graduated from Matador High school and was a standout in athletics. To show gratitude for his years spent in Motley County as a youth, he and his wife decided to provide scholarships to Motley County ISD seniors and mini grant to teachers in MCISD.
Honors Banquet Athletic Awards MCISD athletes were recognized at the annual Honors Banquet on Friday, May 17, 2013, in the school gymnasium.
